Skills of Leadership / Working with Adults (8 & 9) and Growing the Section (13) CANCELLED

During 2024, much of the adult training scheme for Section Team members will move online (elearning).  However six modules have yet to be digitalised – and we are running these as face to face sessions for those wishing to complete the Wood Badge.  We have indicated the time of each session below, and if you plan to only attend for one or two, please name them in the notes on the application form.

Skills of Leadership  & Working with Adults (Run as a combined session (M8 & 9)  ( 9.00 – 12.00)

Aim

To introduce models, tools and techniques that will enable adults to be effective leaders of other adults and of young people.

Growing the Section – (M13)  (12.15 – 2.00)

Aim

To cover ways in which an adult volunteering in a section can assist their line manager and others to plan for and contribute to the growth of their section and/or group.

  • Recruitment and retention of adults
  • Tools and support to help develop the sections
