County Treasurer


After many years in the role, our current Treasurer, Brian Hosier, announced he
would step down at the next County AGM in June 2020. We are now looking for his
replacement to work as part of the county executive team.
You will support adults and empower young people to achieve great things and help
work towards delivering our GLN County Development Plan and the Scouts Skills for
Life strategic plan.

County Youth Commissioner


We are looking for individuals aged 18-24 to work as part of the county team as our next County Youth Commissioner!

You will support adults and empower young people to achieve great things and help work towards delivering our GLN County Development Plan and the Scouts Skills for Life strategic plan.

Assistant County Commissioner - Beavers

This an exciting opportunity for a volunteer to lead and support Beaver Scouting across the County. As ACC Beavers you would play an active part in the leadership of the County and offer section specific programme support. The ACC Beavers is expected to work in partnership with colleagues across the county and district teams, coordinating, mentoring and supporting District Beaver leaders.

The successful candidate will have a period for induction and familiarisation once the appointment process is complete and before formally taking on the role. The role can be a shared role if that suits and could also be split geographically or by responsibility.

Assistant County Commissioner - International

This an exciting opportunity for a volunteer to lead and support International Scouting across the County. Looking to increase the international dimension within weekly programmes and overseas residential events and to ensure that adults are given the support, tools and skills to implement and progress the Global Programme in Scouting. As ACC International you would play an active part in the leadership of the County and expected to work in partnership with colleagues across the county and district teams, coordinating, mentoring and supporting all leaders.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
