People Power Pt 2: Skills of Leadership (M08) Working with Adults (M09)

People Power is a focused day of learning covering four adult training modules. For convenience it is divided into two parts. You can join us for the morning, afternoon, or full day. (Please note you cannot join us for just one module). Refreshments are supplied but if you are joining us for the day, please bring your own lunch.

Skills of Leadership – Aim

To introduce models, tools and techniques that will enable adults to be effective leaders of other adults and of young people.

Change of role

Revalidation of this module is not required for any change of role. If you have previously held a Manager or Supporter Appointment and have validated ‘Working with People’ you have covered the content for ‘Skills of Leadership’ and will not need to validate this module.

To understand the underlying functions required to work effectively as a member of an adult team.

• Effective communication
• Listening skills
• Decision making structures
• Representing others
