Date: 6th Jul 2019 Author: Steve Way

The annual Chiltern 20 Challenge Hike will take place on Saturday 12th October 2019 in the Chiltern Hills. This event is open to any member of the Scout section born after 12th April 2005. The organising committee has a brand new school for this event which will again be close to a main line railway station.

Once again there will be a Junior route of about 15kms and a Senior route of about 20kms. Both routes have been popular during the past few years. This year’s routes will take participants through a completely different area of The Chilterns. The online entry database will be in action from 12th July 2019.

Now is the time for Leaders and team managers to start thinking about entering teams which will again consist of between three to five young people.

Outdoor navigation training events are being organised for adults and young people, along with resources for Scouts to work towards Skills Challenge Award plus Hikes Away Activity Badge.

The organisers are planning for another huge entry for its 39th year.
