24th World Scout Jamboree

Date: 1st Sep 2019 Author: Steve Way
It’s been an incredible summer at the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia, New York, Washington DC and Canada for thirty six awesome Explorers.  There are so many highlights on our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook page and below we’ve pulled together a collection of top memories from a few of the Underground Explorers too.
Toby said “The jamboree was a life changing experience that I will never forget, the whole process from start to finish was surreal. It showed me how so many people can come together in the name of peace and harmony for a genuinely amazing experience.”
And Roisin said that “the Jamboree was a truly unforgettable experience, it’s incredible to think I have made friends from all across the globe!”
The Jamboree is the product of two years of hard work by the unit, their regular Scout and Explorers leaders, supporters, families, friends, Districts, Counties, management teams and so many other people too.  The unit will forever be grateful to everyone who has helped them fundraise £160,000, teach and train them and also support them on every step of the journey. We cannot say thank you enough times for this support.
