One three courses all aimed at members who hold Manager and/or Supporter roles in Scouting. (Supporters include volunteers who don’t line manage other volunteers, but who work with and support adults in Scouting.)
All three courses aim to provide members with the skills needed to carry out their role effectively and support others in doing the same. Each course helps the learner to build upon knowledge gained from their Independent Learning and to draw on their own life experiences and that of others in their tutor group. We are running these days with our colleagues in Greater London North East.
The day covers:
- Dealing with Difficult Situations,
- Disputes and Complaints Process,
- Challenging Reviews,
- Safeguarding (not a substitute for a safeguarding awareness course!) and
- Managing Your Time.
Refreshments and a buffet lunch provided.
We want these courses to have the widest appeal, so whether you have recently been appointed or been in post for a while; or if you already hold a Manager’s Wood Badge, but would like a refresh, or are just thinking about taking up a manager/supporter appointment, we would very much like you to register for this training.
