Training & Assessments 2020

Winter & Summer Mountain Experience weekends and the Hillwalking Permit Assessment & Training weekends in 2020 are now fully open for bookings. Cost is £50 per person and includes minibus transport, food and accommodation.

Friday 7th– Sunday 9thFebruary 2020 – Winter Mountain Experience

An introduction to winter hillwalking. Accommodation is indoors at a Scout owned hall in Bethesda, Snowdonia.

Friday 20th– Sunday 22ndMarch 2020 – Training & Assessments

Training & Assessments for those wanting to work towards & gain a hillwalking permit. Accommodation is indoors at a Scout owned hall in Bethesda, Snowdonia.

 Friday 15th– Sunday 17thMay 2020– Training & Assessments

Training & Assessments for those wanting to work towards & gain a hillwalking permit. Accommodation is camping, location tbc.

 Friday 3rd– Sunday 5thJuly 2020 – Summer Mountain Experience

A social walking weekend for leaders and ideal for those with little or no experience of hillwalking. Based in Edale, Peak District, Derbyshire. Accommodation is Camping.

 Friday 25th– Sunday 27thSeptember 2020 – Training & Assessments

Training & Assessments for those wanting to work towards & gain a hillwalking permit. Accommodation is indoors at a Scout owned hall in Bethesda, Snowdonia.

The weekends run from Friday night until Sunday evening. We are intending for all weekends to include transport, food and accommodation included in the cost which will be announced at a later date.
