Safeguarding in Scouting Courses
The issues facing adult volunteers in keeping young people safe are changing all the time and it is essential that we provide up-to-date training. It is a requirement for all adults in Scouting to have undertaken ‘approved safeguarding training’ during the period since the adult’s last appointment review. Thus all adults should receive appropriate training at least every five years.
There are four sections within the training:
- What is abuse?
- Our role, your responsibilities
Fiona Henderson, Trevor Young, Stuart Sinclair, Paul Shannon, Chris Nagle, Russ Dyble.

At the end you will be able to complete the final section ‘What would you do?’ Once completed, this allows you to print off a certificate – please forward a copy of this to firstname.lastname@example.org.
