County AGMs

The responsibilities of the County Scout Council at the AGM are:

  • To hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) within 6 months of the financial year end (and any Extraordinary General Meetings (EGMs) if needed)
  • To receive and consider the Annual Report of the County Executive Committee (including the annual statement of accounts)
  • To approve the CC’s nomination of the County Chair and nominated members of the County Executive Committee
  • To elect a County/Area Secretary (unless the County Secretary is employed by the County Executive Committee)
  • To elect a County/Area Treasurer and other elected members of the County Executive Committee
  • To elect a representative(s) of the County Scout Council to serve as Nominated Members of the Council of The Scout Association
  • To elect a representative of the County Scout Council to serve as a Nominated Youth Member on the Council of The Scout Association
  • To appoint an auditor or an independent examiner or scrutineer as required to independently review the accounts
