24th World Scout Jamboree

Beyond Borders, Beyond Limits, Beyond Expectations

The 24th World Scout Jamboree will be an adventure beyond anything you can imagine. It is to be hosted jointly between Boy Scouts of America, Scouts Canada and the Scout Association of Mexico.

The UK Contingent will be made up of participants, their Unit Leaders, International Service Team and a Contingent Management and Support Team (UK Contingent Team).

Participants must be born between 22 July 2001 and 21 July 2005.

The Jamboree will take place on 22nd July – 2nd August 2019 at The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia, USA.

The cost to attend the world scout jamboree has not yet been announced. The cost is significantly higher than smaller national jamborees as the price is based on the GDP of the country. This allows scouts from all over the world to be able to attend. Funding and grants are available and the Unit will focus on fundraising. At least one participant of the last Jamboree unit managed to fully fund her attendance through personal and group fundraising.

To find out more about the Jamboree head over to the Jamboree Information page or visit the UK Contingent website and 24th WSJ official site
