Group Officers

Group Officials are not required to be a member, however, in view of their responsibilities as charity trustees it is County policy that they are stongly encouraged to belong to the Association as either “Associate” or “Full” members – especially where the person in question would consider themselves a member.

  • If they do join, they are recorded “above the line” as Other Adults on the Group Return and must pay the full subscription.
If they do not join, then they are recorded “below the line” as Executive Members and do not have to pay the subscription.
  • Group Officials who join the Association as Full or Associate members should complete “Module 1 – Essential Information”.
    • This module CAN be completed online and validated by a training adviser with their Group.
    • They are not required to complete any of the other “Getting Started” modules.

NB: County and District Officers are required to be members of the Association and are recorded on the appropriate form as Office Bearers “above the line”. The full relevant subscription is therefore due.
