County Development Plan

The County has a development plan which gives direction to the County Development Team, District Commissioners and all other adults in the County.

In March 2009 this document was reviewed, with progress against against each objective marked as Red, Amber or Green. Click here to download the latest revision of the plan, including the assessment of progress.

There are three main people/teams involved in supporting the implementation of this plan:

County Development Board – A team of people who steer the work of our Local  Development Officer and consider how other aspects of Scouting can be improved within the County.

County Development Team – A team of people who put development into action across the County.

Local Development Officer – A full-time member of the County team, employed to carry out day-to-day activities associated with development projects.
