The quality of a Colony / Pack or Troop programme is key to recruiting and retaining young people into the Movement, and that supporting adults is key to recruiting, motivating and retaining volunteers.
‘Programmes in a Box’ has been produced as part of the County Development Project to make it easier for new and existing leaders to plan and deliver high quality Scouting to more young people more.
We have produced a year’s worth of programmes which can be used straight out of the box, supplied with plans for the evening, a CD with all the required resources etc…
We’ve even gone as far as putting everything you need in a box which you can buy to save you time printing resources and saving the lunchtime dash to the shops for the equipment you need that evening! |
To support leaders with planning their programme for the Autumn term, GLN will be running 4 training sessions at the end of August, which we would strongly encourage you to attend as a leadership team… There will be time for you to plan the term’s programme with not only your leaders, but leaders from across the County too!
For those of you who require Module 12 (Planning a Balanced Programme), this will count as your course, and for anyone who has already completed their training, the session can count towards your ongoing learning. |
| • Each session will follow the same programme, so you only have to attend one! |
| • You may attend any of the sessions across the County, you don’t necessarily have to go to the one nearest your group. |
